Volunteering
You can help heal the spirits in our community.
Mentoring
Peer Mentor
The mentor is responsible for organizing activities and events at least once a month for the mentee. The peer mentor helps the mentee become familiar with resources available and advises on appropriate ethics and how to deal with personal issues that can arise in their lives.
Mentors may meet with the student as frequently as necessary and report to the coordinator of the program. The mentor must honor the space and individual development of the participant, while encouraging growth.
Drug and Alcohol Mentor
A drug and alcohol mentor is assigned to a recovering alcohol or substance abuser. The responsibility of this mentor is to help the participant stay involved in activities, organizations, and programs that uplift.
The mentor is there to listen to the participant when they need someone to talk to, remaining inspirational when giving the person advice or tutelage. The mentor will meet with the addict regularly and report behavioral patterns to the coordinator of the mentor program.
Special Projects
Several times a year we build bags of food, supplies and necessities that we then distribute to our vulnerable neighbors in and around Metro Atlanta.
We need your help shopping for supplies, assembling bundles, and delivering bags.
